At St Michael’s Lutheran Primary School, we aim to provide a curriculum that reflects excellence in design and methodologies and that is appropriate to the needs of the students.

In offering this balanced and comprehensive curriculum, we are guided by our core values which are:

Spirit sensitive

Exploring the Christian faith in meaningful ways and nurturing students in their faith journey

Learning centred

Creating an environment where students have a passion to explore, discover and analyse their world as part of an exciting life journey.

Community oriented

Contributing to a local and global community by reflecting characteristics of God through core values (love, justice, compassion, forgiveness, service, humility, courage, hope quality and appreciation) and attitudes (empathy, tolerance, respect, integrity, commitment, independence, enthusiasm, curiosity and confidence).

Environmentally conscious

Living and acting responsibly in a way that cares for our fragile earth.

To provide a curriculum which meets all these requirements, we offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. We became an authorised IB World school in 2005. Due to the rigourous nature of this process, it is a badge we wear with honour.

To ensure high standards of education are maintained students are tested regularly against the national standards and their learning journey is frequently discussed at several points over the year.
