St Michael's Lutheran School publish newsletters fortnightly and distributed via email to parents, family members and caregivers. An online version of each edition are provided for you.

St Michael’s has entered into a partnership with Camp Australia, to offer quality care on our school grounds for before and after school care and vacation care.

You are welcome to visit our OSHC team before or after school to see the program in action.

Bus Service

The HILS (Hills Integrated Lutheran Schools) bus network serves the students of Cornerstone College, St Mark’s Lutheran Primary School, St Michael’s Lutheran Primary School, and Lobethal Lutheran School.

Designed exclusively for these school communities, our bus services offer safe, reliable, and convenient transportation to and from school, ensuring affordability and flexibility for families.

Bus Route #1 – Mt Barker
Bus Route #2 – Mt Barker
Bus Route #3 – Nairne (via Balhannah, Oakbank, Woodside)
Bus Route #4 – Macclesfield/Meadows/Echunga/Newenham
Bus Route #5 – Summertown/Littlehampton (via Stirling, Aldgate, Bridgewater)
HILS connections:
- Cornerstone to St Mark’s / St Mark’s to Cornerstone (specifically for St Mark’s students)
- Cornerstone to St Michael’s / St Michael’s to Cornerstone (specifically for St Michael’s students)
- Cornerstone to Lobethal / Lobethal to Cornerstone (via transit stop in Woodside)

Bus Charges

We have endeavoured to make the cost as affordable as possible and we acknowledge financial assistance received from the State Government through the South Australia Regional Bus Grant program.

The cost per journey is $2.50 for regular bookings (where a bus seat is booked for regular and frequent travel during the school term), with a further discount for daily AM/PM bookings or $4.00 for casual travel.

Where seats are limited due to demand, the HILS bus service gives priority to regular users travelling on a daily basis (morning and afternoon).

Payments, notification of absences and virtual tracking of the buses will be made available through the BusMinder Parent app. This can be downloaded from Apple App Store (Apple devices) or Google Play (Android devices).

Bookings

Regular and casual bookings are available; however, families requiring regular, long-term bookings have priority use of the bus service. Casual tickets are granted where spaces are available.
