Special days

The school year is filled with many special days.  Here are just a few.

Anzac Day Memorial Service

Each year St Michael's School Captains attend the Anzac Day Dawn Service held in Hahndorf to lay a wreath in honour of fallen solders.

Mother's Day Worship Service

Each year St Michael's students honour their mothers for Mother's Day.  All mothers are invited to attend a special Mother's Day Worship service on the Friday before Mother's Day.  This is followed by an invitation to stay for a coffee at Café 3:16, provided by the school.

In addition, in the days prior to Mother's Day, the Parents and Friends hold a gift stall where students can purchase special gifts for their mothers.

Father's Day Breakfast

Each year we invite our fathers to join their families at a wonderful pancake breakfast.  We are blessed to have to have many families donate produce eg:  eggs, lemons and jams to make the pancakes.

Following breakfast all Dads are invited to join us for our Father's Day Worship service, led by our students.

Grandfriends Day

Our Grandfriends are a very important part of our children's lives and each year we celebrate this special relationship by inviting our Grandfriends to school for 'Grandfriends Day'.  Grandparents and family friends are treated to a showcase of work and a variety of festivities.
